Story of Kimchi Land
2nd May @ the Airport

It is 8.15pm at Changi Airport Terminal 2. We are 45 minutes earlier than the agreed meeting time with our Travel Agent. As usual, we took some photos before settling down on one of the seats. We are excited about going to Korea as this is our first time there. However, there is also the outbreak of swine flu which worries us. We just hope that we will have a safe and fulfilling trip. :)
Our travel agent came around 9pm. We check in andshop around in the duty free area. Our flight is at 10.50pm. Yes. It is also our first time taking a midnight flight. The journey there takes about 5.5 hours. The time lag between Korea and Singapore is 1 hour. We fly by Korean Air. I love it. The service is good, the stewardess are pretty and the flight is stable and comfortable. But I didnt get to sleep much cos I am someone who cant sleep on a plane.
3rd May @ Incheon Airport

We reached IncheonAirport around 5.30am Korean Time and 4.30am Singapore time. After checking out and collecting our luggage, we met our tour group and Korean Tour Guide at the Arrival Hall. By then it was already 6.30am. He gave us 30 minutes rest time and I went to Family Mart to buy 4 bottles of Mineral Water and 3 bottles of Chewing Gum. Lol. After that, I busied myself in touching up my make up, putting on Mascara and Eyeliner etc. Unglamorous. I know. Lol.
I saw Dunkin Donuts and Lee Min Ho Poster at the airport and I was so happy then. Fangirling around. I took some photos with Mum and Dad at the Airport too. Soon it was 7am and we proceeded to outside to wait for our tour bus. Ooh~ It was super cold! But I love it. The weather is so cooling and it made me feel good. Really good! This is the kinda weather that I love. You won’t even sweat when you run and yet it is not too cold that you have to wear heavy winter clothing. :)
Tour Guide passed us each a mask and the mask is cute. Different from the one I bought from Singapore. Actually, I don’t feel the Swine Flu Effect when I am in Korea. I think the government in Singapore is just being overly panic-ky then. Just like what our tour guide said – Only tourists like us wore mask, the locals don’t. Aniwae, since it was distributed, we decided to wear and took a photo while waiting for the bus. I thought we looked like robbers. Haha! The bus finally arrived and up with board the bus.
3rd May @ Seagull Boat Ride

We boarded the tour bus and got ourselves a nice seat. The tour guide started to introduce himself and his name is called Wang Hong Qi. He told us to call him by his nickname (Fa Cai) though. He had curly hair which he claimed that it was supposed to be Peh Yong Jun Hairstyle. Faint. We had a great laugh. Haha! He is very tall, around 185cm. There is also another Korean Guy who is our camera man and he looked kakkoii. The typical Korean Guy look, but I like. He is tall too! Lol.
Our first stop is this romantic seagull boat ride where our bus can drive into the ship andwe alighted in it. The ship will move to another island andwe will continue our journey by bus when we reached the island. The moment I step out and saw the seagulls, I felt so blessed and happy. It is so pretty andthe wind blowing against my face as the ship moved is so cooling! We fed the seagulls Calbee Prawn Crackers. I threw it out the seagulls will immediately fly over to catch it. So cute! The sound of the seagulls is very nice too. :)
It was a really nice experience. Well. We can’t possibly get to see so many seagulls in Singapore and not to say feed them. Soon, everyone was so excited and started to taking photos. Dad was so excited too. He was smiling and laughing like a kid. It just lasted for a short 20 minutes and off we boarded the bus again for our next stop – Breakfast cum Lunch.
3rd May @ Breakfast cum Lunch

We reached our destination for breakfast cum lunch around 10.30am. It was buffet style breakfast. Our first meal in Korea and of cos I am excited. Above are the photos of the food which I took. Overall, the curry was the nicest. It is not the Chinese type of curry nor the Japanese version. It has its own unique taste. Other than the curry, the rest was eek. We couldn’t even finish the food cos it was really too un-delicious. Oh well. Maybe it just does not suit our taste buds. Lucky, there is egg toast bread which was yummy. If not, I think I will have an empty stomach till dinner. Lol.
Oh and they provide free tissues box in the restaurant. This is kinda similar to Taiwan. This is a good practice but I guess it is only applicable in other countries. Imagine Kiasu Singaporeans and free tissue. Hah~I think the tissues will disappear in a minute or 2. Like seriously. That is how not disciplined Singaporeans are.

We finished our breakfast/lunch earlier than the others. So we went out for some fresh air and phototaking. There is this maple tree outside the restaurant. Maroon in colour. So nice. And the flowers outside indicated that it is already Spring. They are so beautiful. :) The road opposite are mountains and only mountains. The sunis strong but the wind is cooling. It is such an enjoyment to be standing under the sun and feel cool. I love it!
3rd May @ Exciting ATV Ride

After lunch, we proceeded to our next stop – ATV Ride. Above are the photos of the place of the ride. Our driver was super fun. He swerved and turned more than the others! Going up hill, down hill, into the swamps and into the water. It was damned fun and exciting though there are times when I felt like I am going to fly out of the ATV soon. Also, the cooling wind that comes with the speed of the ride is nice too.
But I ate quite abit of sand as I screamed and the sand flew in. Lol. Mum had a great scare though. My hands and shoulders were aching like crazy as I used up alot of strength to hold on to the ATV handle during the ride. This is really memorable for me! :)
3rd May @ Mt Sorak

After the ATV ride, we boarded our bus to our next stop. In between, Fa Cai gave us toliet break at Mt Sorak. We alighted the bus and the wind is so strong as it was not ground level anymore. Cold!! I started to take photos after going to the toliet. There were alot of locals and tourists there. All were enjoying the beautiful view of Mt Sorak. It was just a short 15 minutes break and up we boarded the bus to the next destination, Hour Glass Park.
The journey there was quite long. An hour or so. We slept like xiao on the bus cos it was really tiring as we didnt slept well on the flight. Plus, the bus seat is so comfortable, weather is so nice, it is difficult to NOT fall asleep. Lol.
3rd May @ Hour Glass Park

Saw the big and round hour glass? Hehe. Actually, I didn’t know that it was a hour glass before I saw the sand in it. Lol. We took turns to stand in front of the hour glass to take photo with it. The trees surrounding the area are also very pretty. There are also 2 lamp poles made into fake Sakura Trees at the sides of a beautifully shaped bench. Behind the hour glass lays a super blue sea and white sand. Yes. The beach!! :)

See? Isn’t the beach very beautiful? What is this compared to Sentosa? Lol. I love beaches. I love the deep blue see. And I love walking bare footed on the beach even if it means bringing the sands into my shoes. Hehe. The smell of the sea is great too. Look at our shadows. They are enjoying themselves too. The sun is strong that I need sunglasses to block it. But the wind is so cold that I need my jacket to keep me warm. Ahh ~ This is really so nice.
